The Byzantine Walls: Take a look back at Thessaloniki’s historical past by walking through the picturesque streets of Ano Polis. The Byzantine Walls of Thessaloniki are now about 4 kilometres long, but the original perimeter they covered was 8 kilometres and their height was 10-12 metres. Today they are a special and remarkable monument of Thessaloniki as well as one of its landmarks, while they have been officially classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Tip: Don’t miss to have a coffee while enjoying the panoramic view of the city.<\/p>\n
DAY TWO: Our hotel is located in the picturesque suburb of Oraiokastro, a few minutes away from a location of unique natural beauty.<\/p>\n
The artificial lake of Oraiokastro: Stock up on coffee and snacks and enjoy a morning stroll around the beautiful artificial lake of Oraiokastro. It may be artificial but it’s still a lake with everything, surrounded by trees it is home to fish, frogs and various species of birds. Tip: Don’t hesitate to ask for directions on how to get to the lake from our reception.<\/p>\n
Relax in the room: Most of us have a habit of not having any time for rest when we go on excursions. So since we are proposing a relaxing weekend, the ending is bound to be relaxing too!
