On 22\9 we had the autumnal equinox, so autumn officially began.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the autumnal equinox marks the first day of autumn based on the astronomical seasons.

There is also another, more common definition of when the seasons begin, namely meteorological definitions, which are based on average temperatures rather than astronomical events.

Whether we follow the astronomical definition or the meteorological one, we are ready to welcome autumn, the season that, perhaps most of all, brings out the romantic side of Thessaloniki.

Our city fills with people. Slowly the last of the summer holidays are returning and we are all getting back into our rhythms.
